Author Guidelines

What we look for, how to format a submission, and what happens after you apply.

1. Scope

We publish original essays and applied research in behavioral economics, neuroeconomics, psychology, career and financial decision-making, and business strategy, in both English and Hindi.

2. Manuscript Format

  • Length: 1,200–3,000 words for essays; longer for applied research pieces with data.
  • Citations: cite sources inline or as endnotes; include links to original studies or data where possible.
  • Original figures/charts should be provided as separate image files, not embedded only in text.
  • Include a 2–3 sentence author bio and your area of expertise with your submission.

3. How to Submit

Apply through our Write For Us page with your pitch and a writing sample. If accepted, we'll set you up with an author account to submit your full manuscript directly.

4. Review Process

Every submission goes through editorial screening and peer review — see our Peer Review Policy for the full process and expected timelines.

5. Originality & Ethics

All submissions must be original and properly cited. Please review our Plagiarism Policy before submitting.

6. Publication Fees

The Praman does not charge a mandatory article processing fee for standard essay submissions. Any paid, expedited, or sponsored publication track, if offered, will be clearly disclosed as such before submission.

7. Copyright & Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work. By publishing with us, you grant The Praman a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the piece on our platform and its official channels (including our YouTube channel, where relevant). You are free to republish your own work elsewhere with attribution back to its original publication on The Praman.

8. Corrections After Publication

If you notice an error in your published piece, contact the editorial team promptly — see our Publication Ethics page for how corrections and retractions are handled.
